The third in the Farmer’s encounter with the denizens of the circus gracefully and lovingly completes his earlier adventures with the baby clown and the monkey. These are wordless books, but the illustrations are so easy to read that a toddler can understand the warmth and emotional tugs. I give the trio to favored grown-ups as well as children; in my library, they rank as classics.
