I was overwhelmed by this work when I heard an audio file of bp Nichol read it himself. And to see the words on page is stimulating in a whole 'nother sense. This long poem was really meant to be read aloud so that you could hear the sound and rhythm of the words.Although not many people are, for those who happen to be interested in "sound poetry" this is an essential work, along with the poems of Jackson Mac Low. bp Nichol has showed that the lyrical is still alive and well, and not lessened at the expense of experimentation.
